CSX Freight Train's Mysterious Encounter With UFO

An incident that occurred near Paintsville, Kentucky, on January 14, 2002, was not just a sighting of an unknown object; it heavily damaged a freight train and led the crew of the train down an experience of what can only be labelled as very strange encounters.

The train was approaching a bend near an area railwaymen referred to as the wild kingdom, for the many different types of animals spotted there, they saw lights coming from around the way. This ordinarily means another train is coming and will pass on the other track. The conductor killed the lights on the locomotive so as not to blind the oncoming crew.

As the train rounded the corner the onboard computer began to flash in and out, the speed recorder went nuts, and both locomotives died. Alarm bells began to ring and that's when the crew saw the objects floating above the track scanning the river for something, the objects, (at least 3) had several "search" lights trained there, the first object hovered about 10 to 12 feet above the track.

With both engines dead they made little noise and the first object did not respond in time, they hit the object at 30 mph with 16,000 trailing tons. It clipped the top of the lead locomotive then skipped back slicing a chunk out of the trailing unit and the first two coal cars. The other objects vanished into thin air.

the emergency brakes had initiated due to the loss of power and the train stopped approximately a mile and a half to two miles after impact. As soon as the train stopped power was restored and the crew notified their dispatcher, located in Jacksonville Florida of what had happened. The crew were asked to inspect the train to ensure it could continue and shortly after were instructed to make their way to a local engineering siding.

They arrived at Paintsville yard at approximately 5:15 am. The huge overhead lights lining the yard were noticeably dark and they could make out lights that seemed like railroad officials' vehicles. However, after getting off their train there were no railroad officials present, in their place were people that they had never seen or recognised before surrounding their train like ants. They were instructed to head into the office again by a man they had never met before and wore no insignia associated with regular railroad officials, they were then questioned for hours and upon coming back out of the office found their 2 lead locomotives and wagons that were hit had been moved to a separate part of the yard under what looked like large tents and could make out a hive of activity around that area.

Before being allowed to leave they had mobile phones confiscated and were medically tested, finally the man who had interviewed them told the crew that this was in the best interest of national security to keep the incident to themselves.
